Questions For Employer

General

  • [ ] What's the frequency for mandatory meetings?
  • [ ] Is the work time flexible apart from the meetings?
  • [ ] Is remote work option available? what's the catch?
  • [ ] How do you evaluate work performance at year end?
  • [ ] I prefer to work with Linux based system and that is configurable according to my needs. Do you facilitate/support such needs.
  • [ ] In case i get stuck, are there people willing to help and whom i can approach to clarify my thoughts?
  • [ ] What's the development process like? Does the developer have a say on how the implementation gets done or are developers given a spec and expected to follow that or a mix of both?

Development

  • [ ] When there is problems in the way internal development is happening, is there a practice of taking time to fix those issues and put better solutions in place?
  • [ ] What happens when a bug is found in production? What's the process to track/fix it?
  • [ ] How hard is it to push code to production? In general, what's your deployment process like?
  • [ ] Do you write tests?
  • [ ] What's the oldest tech your production is running? How regularly do you update your tech stacks?
  • [ ] In case something goes wrong, will i have access to production system? or at least to the logs?

Startup
